The Rosary - A Prayer That Teaches Us to Think, Act, and Live Like Jesus

October is traditionally the month of the rosary. Perhaps we have been praying it for many years, knowing the individual mysteries and words of the prayers almost by heart. Nevertheless, we can still discover something new in it.

Saint John Paul II, for whom the rosary was one of the most beloved prayers, dedicated a beautiful apostolic letter to it in 2002: Rosarium Virginis Mariae (The Rosary of the Virgin Mary).

He reminds us in it that the rosary is not just a repetition of Hail Marys. It is an invitation to look together with Mary at Christ, to know him through the events of his life, and gradually to learn his way of thinking and acting.

The Pope writes about this prayer:

"Therefore, the simple prayer of the rosary beats in rhythm with human life."

Indeed, we can bring our joys, sorrows, worries, and hopes to the rosary. And in Christ's mysteries, we can find light for our own lives.

I would like to invite you to read this beautiful and still relevant text. Whether you pray the rosary regularly, occasionally, or are just beginning to explore this prayer, it can help you discover its true depth and richness.
