The area in front of the pilgrimage site came alive on Saturday, May 10, around noon when the stalls of the Center for Family and Social Care opened for little creators and everyone else who enjoyed good coffee and homemade refreshments. At 1 PM, the main program was kicked off by the sounds of the Kozlovice choir Cantamus, which regularly accompanies the Family Pilgrimage and is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year since its founding.

Life of the Holy Family was not without difficulties

Bishop Martin David chose texts from God's word for the Holy Mass that are read on the feast of the Holy Family. Last year – on the day of this feast – December 29, dioceses worldwide entered the Jubilee year. “It is good that this year we are making pilgrimages to Jubilee churches to the sources of hope. They are a lasting reminder that the source of that fundamental hope for our lives is God,” the bishop noted at the beginning of his sermon. In it, he spoke about love, the passing of life, and forgiveness as the foundations of hope for family life. “If we love and are loved, we are not alone, and we can overcome various pains and difficulties of life together. The life of the Holy Family was not without them, as we heard in the gospel. But it did not change the fact that God, who is love, was the center of this family. If God is present, then the source of hope is inexhaustible. It will never cease to flow,” the bishop spoke about love in the family.
